Diana Hackenburg, Gund Graduate Fellow, Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Vermont
Latest Project: Along with a research team, Diana is examining the relationship between algal blooms in Lake Champlain and human well-being. She is focusing on how communities can work together to address this environmental issue and why communities take action. Diana is using a case study approach, conducting semi-structured interviews, and conducting media analyses by looking through archives for newspaper articles about the blooms to see how local media has framed the environmental issue. The specific research community she is working with is located on St. Albans Bay.
