The BSc in Economics offers an alternative track in Economics for students who want more mathematical and quantitative training.
The exact requirements are still being hammered out, but we expect students will take three semesters of calculus and linear algebra. They must turn in a strong performance in the intermediate theory sequence, followed by Econometrics and their studies will be capped by a course on advanced economic analysis.
This program will be excellent preparation for graduate study in economics and related fields such as business or policy, which increasingly include sophisticated mathematical models and statistical analysis.
