The semester is over, the grades are submitted, the sun is shining after a beautiful heavy rain, and the trees on the streets of Burlington are in full bloom — cherry blossoms and flowering dogwoods, magnolias and crabapples (at least those are my guesses).
And this song lilts the afternoon as I watch the traffic outside my office window.
I saw the movie too, as a kid. And other things.

Here are two other versions of it.
It’s nice to watch them simultaneously, maybe a little out of phase with each other so the layers can build…

Thanks, Mark Kozelek. There are many to whom “I’d like to say, face to face, ‘Thank you’,” as well. And “I’m sorry,” too.
I’m curious to know which video you think works best. The plenitude of YouTube…

First of i love that song and i me personally like the last video although the second one remind me when i use to work at locksmith in washington dc in that time of year the blossom there is awesome 🙂
Great. I think I like just watching them together. Playing at the same time. Also, I found it interesting to play with the volumes as they played. I put the second video on half volume phased slightly after the first one started playing. It echoed out beautifully. Then I switched the volumes, putting the video playing first on half volume and turning the second video up. It felt much less aesthetic. Much more like I could picture the artist in the studio. Less ethereal and more ‘human’.
