Sachs is Professor of Rural Sociology and Women’s Studies at Penn State University, and director of the Pennsylvania Women’s Agricultural Network. She is also a co-author of The Rise of Women Farmers and Sustainable Agriculture, published in 2016.

Bell is associate professor and coordinator of the University of Connecticut Neag School of Adult Education’s Adult Learning Program and is as a pioneer in the application of adult learning principles to support the education and success of small-scale farmers.
