About VDIA

The Vermont Dairy Industry Association traces its roots back to the Vermont Dairymen’s Association, formed in 1869. Not long after, industry members other than farmers broke away from the original organization. In 1987, the two groups reunited to acknowledge the fact that today’s dairy industry is an integrated network of farmers, processors, educators, marketing, regulatory and support personnel.

Today the Vermont Dairy Industry Association welcomes dairy farmers, cooperative staff, equipment and supply personnel, veterinarians, and any person associated with dairy farming and/or the dairy industry within the state of Vermont, New England or adjacent area. The VDIA coordinates an annual educational conference, dairy awards banquet, scholarship program and other activities to promote excellence in the production and processing of dairy products and to support youth who aspire to be part of the dairy industry.
