2014 VDIA/VFD Fall Conference Sept 16-17

The 2014 Fall Conference and Annual Meetings of the Vermont Dairy Industry Association and Vermont Feed Dealers are returning for the second time to The Stoweflake Mountain Resort and Spa, 1746 Mountain Road, Stowe, Vt. The VDIA has a full-day program planned for the 16th and the Feed Dealers’ program runs through lunch on the 17th. A formal banquet and program are planned for the evening of the 16th.

Day one of this year’s conference features presentations on the health benefits of milk fat, how a frozen custard stand evolved into an award-winning Vermont business, and an agronomist’s perspectives on genetically modified crops. The Vermont Dairy Farm of the Year will also be part of the September 16th program.

The 2013 Fall Conference and Annual Meetings of the Vermont Dairy Industry Association and Vermont Feed Dealers has a new location! The conference is being held at The Stoweflake Mountain Resort and Spa, 1746 Mountain Road, Stowe, Vt. The VDIA has a full-day program planned for the 10th and the Feed Dealers’ program runs through lunch on the 11th. A formal banquet and program are planned for the evening of the 10th.

This year’s conference features two top notch speakers on the subject of advocating for agriculture (agvocacy, if you will). Michele Payn-Knoper leads off with Celebrating Ag and Trent Loos presents the evening banquet keynote on the 10th. Trent returns during the program on the 11th. The first 60 individuals to register for the conference through VDIA receive a free copy of Ms. Payn-Knoper’s recent book, “No More Food Fights!”
