Phenology Site Bird’s Eye View

22 Oct

My phenology site is a rocky peninsula with a scattering of trees that pokes out into Lake Champlain just off the bike path.

First Phenology Blog Post!

08 Oct

The place that I have chosen for my phenology project is a small rocky peninsula about 50 feet long and 10 feet wide just off the bike path near North Beach. It has many small shrubs and a few larger trees, many of which are maples probably under 50 years old. There is a large tree in the middle that has an immense root base that raises the tree above the ground and it has a wide canopy. I was unable to identify this tree but it captivated my interest. This is a quick sketch (keep in mind I am no art major :).
