I really enjoyed your podcast, especially the way it opened. Sun Ra seems like he was such an interesting and unique person, you guys really pulled me in and made me even more intrigued by him. The fact that he uses the projection of being from outer space to distract from his race is a sort of stand that I’ve never heard of before, is very unique and clever, and as Cam said, extremely sad. You guys did a really good job of providing information about Sun Ra as well as connecting him to more modern artists such as A Tribe Called Quest. Good job!

This guy is so damn cool. I’m currently in the process of downloading some Sun Ra so thanks for that. The idea that his whole theme of being from outer space is a product of trying to make his race less prominent is ingenious and actually really sad. Well done team
