Yankee Farm Credit Appraisal Department has an opening for an forestry appraisal intern for Summer 2017.

We are looking for a motivated individual to assist in expanding Yankee’s timber real estate appraisal program. The intern will provide assistance in analyzing timberland real estate sales data, developing best practices for timber property analysis and developing standard operating procedures for timber appraisal analyses. Education in forestry or a related field is required. No prior appraisal experience is required. Concepts and practices related to appraisal will be taught on the job. The internship will include an approximately equal amount of field work and office work. Experience with computers and the Microsoft Office products is required and the ability to learn new computer programs is a must.

This paid (hourly) internship could be based out of Chazy, NY (student housing available) or St. Albans, Middlebury or Derby, VT depending on availability of housing for the summer and preference of the candidate. We are offering up to 40 hours per week of work, but can be flexible for the right applicant. Start and end dates are flexible. Position is open to current students and May graduates.
