Please consider applying for any or all of the scholarships that are awarded by United Academics (UA), the faculty union at the University of Vermont. Scholarships are awarded to students who are actively involved in community service, especially those related to social and/or economic justice issues. These scholarships include:

Jeffrey Brace Scholarships ($500, for current students who will be enrolled at UVM in fall ’18)
Linda Backus Memorial Scholarship ($1000, for a student who has completed two years of college and has an immediate family member belonging to any union in Vermont)
David Shiman Scholarship ($1500, for a UVM senior).

The application deadline for all scholarships is Friday, March 31, 2017. Scholarship recipients will be announced by Monday, April 17, 2017. Only completed applications received by the deadline will be reviewed by the UA Scholarship Committee.
