Experiential Learning & Job Opportunities

Hotel Vermont in hiring!

Hotel Vermont is looking for warm and engaging Vermonters to help our guests explore like they live here and relax like it’s their job.

Do you like to seek connections with people? Do you embody our Community through your enthusiasm and respectful attitude? Are you passionate about Winter? What’s your favorite swimming hole? Are you the host in your family?

Come share your story with us at Hotel Vermont.

Hotel Vermont, Burlington’s independent, LEED certified, downtown hotel is reflective of the rich cultural heritage and optimism of Burlington and our state. The hotel is ideally located between the Church Street Marketplace and the Waterfront Park. Guests enjoy a lodging experience that is both contextual to the local past while celebrating current and future culture – a uniquely Vermont environment for visitors.

The 125-room Hotel Vermont offers guests an authentic, local experience that is steeped in the heritage, artisanry, agriculture, and materials indigenous to the state and region. To achieve this, the design, development and operational teams have incorporated local details into everything from local and reclaimed building materials, to farm-to-table cuisine at “Juniper”, the hotel lobby bar and restaurant, materials and furnishings– with style and sophistication. Hotel Vermont is also proud to be the Burlington home of much celebrated “Hen of The Wood” restaurant.

While the design is intended to utilize and showcase traditional materials like a sculptural granite-clad central core area and red oak lobby flooring, the interior is also modern.

Hotel Vermont is managed by Westport Hospitality, based right here in Burlington.

So, what is working at Hotel Vermont like?

Just like welcoming friends and family at home, we enjoy being hosts to our guests, community members and associates with similar thoughtfulness, personal attention and a natural manner of interaction and respect we would portray to family and friends, while maintaining a clear focus on superior, professional service. Titles are meaningless to our guests, but outcomes are, as are they to us. Being friendly and professional is a given, being thoughtful and caring is where we differ.

We believe in the simple fact that success is defined as a return guest.

Working at Hotel Vermont and delivering on that promise takes passion – do you have this passion?
