The way that you started big picture and looked at Bollywood films as a whole and their construct and then went into the music was really cool and helpful for understanding and important for grabbing attention. Also I was really surprised that actors and actresses would have singers that will work with them throughout their whole career doing the voices for their singing part. You learn something new everyday

This was really fun guys! You have a really interesting topic, and I’ve been super excited to listen to your podcast because I love the Indian culture, and this definitely gave me a better understanding of it. I appreciated how you included what Bollywood films are in the beginning of the podcast. I definitely had no idea what the premise of them are, so that was great that you added in that background. I also liked how you had music playing throughout, it made it more interesting and I wish we had done that with ours! I really loved listening to this, and great job!

This was awesome! I really thought it was very interesting to learn not only about the music involved in Bollywood, but the films themselves. I think you did a very good job with the background information. I can now see how certain films out of bollywood or bollywood inspired get their themes. It was very clear and you spoke at a pace that was perfect for the listener allowing them to take in and understand the words, but also not too slow so the listener lost track of what was going on or got bored. I also thought starting off with a portion of the music really helped introduce the topic to the listener. Overall fantastic job, I thought it was extremely well done.

Listening to this podcast was so fun! I like that you continued to have the music in the background after you started talking, but that it was not loud enough to be distracting. This also matched with what you said about how Bollywood films themselves have soundtracks that weave through the whole film. It was interesting to hear about how the actors and singers got separated, because I know that lip syncing was also popular in the United States when films were moving out of being silent (as seen by the show “Singin’ in the Rain.” It was also helpful to have the images of the different instruments placed in your blog post, so that we could follow along as you were speaking, and imagine them being played as we listened to them.

I really like how you started off with a clip of the music itself. I think it was really cool that you clipped your voice over the actual music. I think it was very clearly written, and I like that you re-stated your thesis in the very beginning of the piece. The background of the Bollywood culture/industry is necessary to your topic, and I think you explained it very well. I’m glad I got to listen to this, because I feel like I learned a lot. This was great! I also think you chose some awesome pictures to go along with your podcast. The visual aid helped me understand better what exactly you guys were talking about in your podcast.
