2024/2025 Inclusive Arts Initiative Gallery

As individuals and communities, we hold immense power to affect the natural settings and systems of the planet. Simultaneously, we turn to nature for experience, peace, and lessons – even to reflect on how our own lives fit within Earth’s wider scale and timeline. These emotional, spiritual, and cultural threads that connect us to the natural world inspire the action and passion necessary for reaching reciprocity with the environment.
Every move we make has the potential to upend nature or to heal it. It is up to us to determine the outcome. That is why it is paramount that we consistently reflect upon and acknowledge our relationship to Earth’s ecosystems.

In this collection of visual, literary, and textile artworks, Rubenstein students and staff examine their own environmental ties and address the school’s Mission Question: “How can the Rubenstein School unleash empathy, passion, innovation, and creativity to heal and radically change human-environment systems in a just, equitable, and ecological direction?”
