UVM’s contract with Blackboard is ending in September 2023. Our current version of Blackboard (which is hosted on UVM servers) will no longer be supported by Blackboard after Fall 2023. Therefore, if we renewed our Blackboard license, it would be have to be hosted on their servers. According to UVM policies, this is a significant contract change and therefore required a Request for Proposal (RFP).
Blackboard was invited to participate in the RFP, but they did not submit a proposal. Therefore, according to the rules of the RFP process, Blackboard cannot be considered.
