Debate: U.S. Immigration Policy, Are Our Borders Too Open or Too Closed?

On October 20, 2016, the Janus Forum hosted a debate on how to reform U.S. immigration policy. This discussion featured Ethan Lewis, Steve Camarota, and Emerson Lynn. Ethan Lewis is an Associate Professor in the Economics Department of Dartmouth College. Lewis has conducted a breadth of distinguished research on the influence of immigration and technological change on labor markets. Steve Camarota is the Director of Research for the Center for Immigration Studies, an organization that conducts research on the effects of immigration on the United States to inform government officials, academic researchers, and other non-state actors.
