Participation in the NECLAS 2025 Conference
Emma Stockwell participated in the NECLAS 2025 conference, held November 7–8 at the University of Vermont, where she presented research on the role of community archives and oral histories in Latin America. Her paper explored how grassroots narratives challenge dominant historical frameworks, particularly in contexts shaped by migration, displacement, and environmental resistance. Engaging with the conference theme—“Borders, Crossings & Environments: Narratives, Archives, and Encounters”—Emma contributed to interdisciplinary discussions on memory, territory, and social justice. Her participation also included attending workshops on decolonial pedagogy and transnational mobility, enriching her academic perspective and expanding her research network.
