Experiential Learning & Job Opportunities

Hello & updates from Anna

Hello Rubenstein Students,

I hope that you’re all doing well in this third week of classes!

If you’re…..
• exploring job/career ideas
• looking for volunteer, internship or research experience
• thinking about study abroad options during a semester, summer or winter/spring break
• investigating how your major and/or interests may connect to a variety career fields
• wanting to find ways to get involved outside of the classroom
• eager to polish your resume, cover letter and/or interviewing skills

…… I’m here as a resource and am ready to dig into a conversation with you. Some of this can be done over email, but it’s often better to meet in person! You can sign up for an individual appointment on the calendar just outside of my office (Aiken 220G). FYI – on Wednesdays (starting today) from 1-3pm I’ll be in the Career Center (2nd floor Davis Center) hosting Environmental Meet-Ups – where you can stop by to ask quick questions and get advice about exploring environmental fields, building experience and making connections. You’ll also be able to meet up with other students interested in sustainability and environmental work. Here is more info on the Environmental Meet-Ups!

If you haven’t already, check out Handshake – the new job/internship/and much more search tool through the Career Center. Once you update your Handshake profile with your areas of interest, etc., you’ll start to see lots of really cool opportunities highlighted just for you!

Please be on the lookout for emails from me regarding all sorts of fantastic opportunities and events. I look forward to working with many of you this year!

Thanks,
Anna
