Student INTERN Pathway Positions VERMONT

This is a great opportunity to get a foot in the door, as a student, with the Natural Resources Conservation Service. These Pathways internships can convert to a full time position upon graduation. Check out the info below and attached – note that the application process opens today and will close on Monday, April 3rd – quick turn around but you can do it!!

NRCS in Vermont is expecting several Student Intern Job postings for our Strategic Pathways Programs Recruitment which is open to current students. This is for three Soil Conservationist positions, 1 each for Middlebury, Newport and Rutland, Vermont; and for one Engineer position in Colchester, Vermont.

These jobs are expected to be posted and open on USA Jobs website on March 23 and close on April 3, 2017.

A Pathways Fact Sheet is attached for potential applicants’ and your information. Pathways Interns need to complete 640 hours of work while they are enrolled as a student. They will need to be in the natural resources degree or engineering degree “path.” They are paid for the hours they work starting at the GS-3 level which is ~$12.50/hour.

I am also attaching the general educational qualifications for both Soil Conservationist and for Engineer they will need to meet by the time they graduate to be eligible for conversion to a permanent position.

If students are interested they should use the USA Jobs website and search for Soil Conservationist or Engineer. This is a national announcement and will include positions across the US. https://www.usajobs.gov/
