Research Assistant (Part-time)

Seeking two research assistants and a work-study student for projects in the field of environmental health, environmental policy, and community-engaged research.

Researcher will have an opportunity to help shape ongoing social science research projects on large mine permitting process in Alaska, sea ice change in the Northwest Passage and impacts to food security and health, and biodiversity, wildlife health, and environmental change monitoring in the Canadian North.

Responsibilities include transcribing, coding, and analyzing using systematic qualitative methods, reviewing literature to develop the conceptual groundwork and methods for research, coordinating research projects, contributing to peer-reviewed journal articles, and developing new research and proposals.

Experienced graduate and senior undergraduates with strong academic background in related fields, experience in community engaged research, excellent written and oral communication skills. Creative, and interdisciplinary thinkers are encouraged to apply.  The positions will pay $11/hr.
