INTERNSHIP: School Farm Internship with Burlington School Food Project

Hey fellow ENVSers,

Will you be sticking around Burlington for the summer?  The School Farm Internship is a part-time position throughout this spring and summer with the Farm to School program, a critical group that aims to connect students to high-quality food.  The School Farm intern manages 3 school gardens in the Burlington district: a half-acre plot at Hunt Middle School, the Burlington High School farm, and the CP Smith’s new orchard.  The educational aspect is facilitating workshops and other food-related programs for students. Ideally, the intern would have strong horticulture experience/knowledge and interest in educational programs.  Compensation includes food and college credit.  This is extremely relevant and beneficial work for students interested in food systems in public schools.

For more information, please see the attachment. Interested applicants: please email your resume, cover letter, and contact information for 3 references to Sarah Heusner (Farm to School coordinator, sheusner@bsdvt.org) by April 5th!
