JOB: Intervale Conservation Nursery hiring Crew Members

The Intervale Conservation Nursery is an enterprise of the non-profit Intervale Center,
located in Burlington’s Intervale.  We grow over 30 species of native, locally sourced trees
and shrubs for conservation projects throughout Vermont. Our plants are grown in an
ecologically sound manner without the use of synthetic fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides. We work with landowners, farmers, watershed organizations, and government agencies to ensure that land and water resources are protected and enhanced for future generations.

Planting Services
We are Vermont’s only bare root nursery offering plants, technical assistance and comprehensive planting services. We provide labor, plant materials and plant protection to ensure excellent quality and high survival rates. Our crews operate in the spring and fall planting seasons.

Job Description
Crew members are hired in the month of March and work until planting projects are complete, usually lasting until June. This is a seasonal, full-time position.  Ideal candidates
will have some experience planting trees, love working outside, enjoy teamwork, and have a great attitude. This position requires travel and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Please send resume and cover letter to Mike Ingalls, mikei@intervale.org
