I will be based in the lab of Dr. Angelica Cibrian-Jaramillo at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.langebio.cinvestav.mx\/\">LANGEBIO<\/a>. I am excited to look into different domestication systems and to develop new collaborations with Mexican researchers.<\/p>\n<p>For fun, I will be blogging about my meals. The oldest remains are from Puebla (Wikipedia entry)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Lime &#8211; (<i>Citrus x latifolia,\u00a0<\/i>Rutaceae; SE Asia?) &#8211; Limes are hybrids with varied genetic backgrounds. The domestication history of citrus looks <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nature.com\/nbt\/journal\/v32\/n7\/full\/nbt.2906.html\">complex<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Maize &#8211; (<em>Zea mays mays, <\/em>Poaceae; Mexico!)- Maize originates from the Balsas River Valley.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am heading to Mexico for a sabbatical!
