—<\/i> A selection of visionary Documentary Films exploring Afro-Atlantic Sacred Arts and Religion<\/em>
\nThis series of educational film screenings brings together students, faculty and staff from Champlain College and the University of Vermont – along with guests from the wider community \u2013 for robust discussion of some of the most beautiful, informative, and thought-provoking documentary films dealing with Afro-Atlantic religious and artistic culture.\u00a0 Groundbreaking \u00a0filmmakers who have helped shape our understanding of the Afro-Atlantic experience offer us their visions of this unique cultural crossroads, and of the people who make it their home.\u00a0\u00a0 Selected films are introduced by faculty with substantial background in the scholarship of Afro-Atlantic sacred arts and religions, who will then facilitate discussion and conversation connecting the films to the exhibit and to broader global issues.<\/p>\n
