submit all forms..\u00a0 Try not to use Javascript.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Ensure links make  sense out of context.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Caption and\/or provide transcripts for media<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Lay out pages to  facilitate using screen readers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Using  anchor tags for elements to allow user to skip ahead.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Use Cascading Style Sheets<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Don\u2019t rely on color alone to convey meaning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Content should be  clearly written and easy to read.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Making Javascript accessible<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">\u201cProgressive Enhancement\u201d involves making the site work for  everyone at the beginning.\u00a0 Then can add javascript features.\u00a0 And don\u2019t  use Flash.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">Design to Standards<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: small\">:\u00a0 WWW Consortium publishes  standards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Can test accessibility of your site:\u00a0 Available testing web  sites.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"> <\/span><span style=\"font-size: small\">Wave.Webaim.org <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Presentation was  interspersed with questions for m audience, all of which were addressed  by the presenters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Popular Screenreaders: Most popular is Jaws, available at UVM.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Demonstrated site  accessibility testing using WAVE.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\">Also, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.contentquality.com\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">www.contentquality.com<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: small\"> which also  includes the standards for accessibility.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Video to be posted soon&#8230;
