Tower Society Applications are open to any qualified students. You can be nominated by a faculty, staff, and/or current Tower member. Self nominations will also be considered. If nominated, invitations to apply are emailed to candidates, and are due within the month.
Generally, applications open in March. However, for the 2023-2024 cohort we will recruit a few more seniors during the Fall of 2023. Applications open on Monday, August 21st and are due Friday, September 15th.
Criteria for Membership
Minimum Qualifications
- Those traditionally marginalized based on their gender identities and/or expressions, including but not limited to women, gender non-conforming or non-binary individuals, and trans individuals.
- Junior (57+ Credits) or Senior (87+ Credits) academic standing by the end of Spring semester.
- Grade Point Average above 3.0.
However, a competitive candidate will exemplify outstanding academic achievement, commitment to service, and distinct leadership abilities at the University of Vermont and throughout the community.
