New England Aster<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

My phenology spot is located down past the UVM Forestry Sciences Laboratory just off the South Burlington Recreational Path – easily accessible by bike or on foot. It is on a moderately-worn path with some deciduous trees and shrubbery on one side and a meadow-like field on the other.<\/p>\n

There are several varieties of Oak\u00a0and Maple trees in the area, along with a couple species of wildflower, like the New England Aster. It seems as though some of the plant life has been disturbed, as there are many broken and fallen trees. A large fallen Red Oak branch even blocks the path. We’ll see what changes as I update you through the seasons.<\/p>\n
