{"id":480,"date":"2012-05-10T12:56:36","date_gmt":"2012-05-10T17:56:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/subtutor\/?p=480"},"modified":"2012-05-10T12:56:50","modified_gmt":"2012-05-10T17:56:50","slug":"farewell","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/subtutor\/2012\/05\/10\/farewell\/","title":{"rendered":"Farewell!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Tutors,<\/p>\n<p>The past two years have been an extraordinary time for me, and I have loved my position as the Tutor Program Coordinator and the opportunity to work with all of you amazing people.\u00a0 As you may know, I have chosen to start a PhD program in literature at Rice University in the Fall of 2012 and will not be returning as your supervisor next semester.\u00a0 If I could fly in from Houston every morning to work with you lovely people, I&#8217;d totally do it.<\/p>\n<p>Before leaving at the semester&#8217;s end, I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank all of you for your hard work and dedication to the Subject-Area Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction programs in the last two years.\u00a0 Though it might be trite to say, many of the services we provide in the Learning Co-op simply would not be possible without you.\u00a0 We are lucky to have a group of UVM&#8217;s best and brightest committed to building an academic community through peer-assisted learning.\u00a0 This isn&#8217;t something you&#8217;ll see on every university campus, and I hope you take pride in your work.\u00a0 You should; I certainly do.<\/p>\n<p>I would like to take a moment to let you know what to expect as a new Tutor Coordinator is hired and as tutoring begins for the Fall semester.\u00a0 Our semesterly<span style=\"font-family: Goudy Old Style\"> All-Tutor Meeting for Fall 2012 is scheduled for Monday, September 3 from 7:00-9:00 pm in L\/L CM 315&#8211; mark your calendars now!<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Goudy Old Style\">\u00a0 Your attendance at this meeting is MANDATORY if you wish to continue tutoring during the 2012-2013 academic year.
