{"id":341,"date":"2011-11-07T09:27:40","date_gmt":"2011-11-07T14:27:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/subtutor\/?p=341"},"modified":"2011-11-07T09:27:40","modified_gmt":"2011-11-07T14:27:40","slug":"week-11-already","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/subtutor\/2011\/11\/07\/week-11-already\/","title":{"rendered":"Week 11 Already?!?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Goudy Old Style\">Good morning, tutors&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Week 11 has begun!\u00a0 Hard to believe&#8230;\u00a0 Just a few updates for you all.<\/p>\n<p>The last day of tutoring will be Wednesday, December 7.\u00a0 Unless you are leading a pre-approved Group or SI review session, no tutoring should occur after this time.\u00a0 We want you all to be able to focus on your own exams.<\/p>\n<p>We have had a number of questions regarding working on papers for language classes.\u00a0 Since papers are technically graded assignments, we cannot work on papers for students in language classes UNLESS they have received prior written approval from their professors.\u00a0 You may work on general concepts and particular grammar patterns, but may not correct specific errors in the papers.\u00a0 If students want to work on these things, have them ask their professor to email me their permission.\u00a0 Thanks!<\/p>\n<p>Just a reminder that if you have appointments in the Co-op, please be sure to go to the schedule to mark your sessions as &#8220;attended&#8221; (or missed, cancelled, etc) and to add your session notes.\u00a0 Also, ask if your students have signed in at the kiosk and walk them out at the end of the session to be sure they sign out.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, finals season is fast approaching.\u00a0 Chances are you&#8217;ll be receiving more requests.\u00a0 Remember, please return emails within 24 hours!\u00a0 Even if it is to say you won&#8217;t have time until next week, please please please do not ignore requests from students.\u00a0 If you cannot meet with them, cc me on your response and I will follow up to match them with another tutor.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you all for your hard work this semester!\u00a0 Keep up the awesome work!<\/p>\n<p>Best,<br \/>\nRachel<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good morning, tutors&#8211; Week 11 has begun!\u00a0 Hard to believe&#8230;\u00a0 Just a few updates for you all.
