I hope everyone is well, and I hope everyone is having success in both your classes as well as your tutoring. I have one important reminder this week:

COMMUNICATE PROMPTLY AND CLEARLY. We have had some complaints about tutors not responding to emails, or taking many days to do so. My expectation is that you respond to an email, whether from me or from a student, within 24 hours. If you are having trouble keeping up with communication because of your schedule, please talk about it with me.

Courses in need of tutors: GEOG 040, PBIO 185, CDAE 061, ASTR 005, BCOR 102. Get in touch with me if you can tutor any of these courses.

There are still openings in the tutor schedule here in the Co-op. If anyone would like to be considered for Co-op hours, please come in to talk to me about it, or send me an email.

For Chinese tutors: we have a private tutor request from the parent of an international exchange high school student. If you have interest in tutoring a high school student in Chinese, contact me for the details.

Best of luck on that first round of exams.

Thanks,
Keith

This is a reminder to you that hour submissions are due this weekend. If you want to get paid, remember to get it done. Don’t forget to include the time for the meeting from 9/3/12. If you have trouble trying to submit it on the 3rd, just put it in on the 4th. If you have any questions as to what you need exactly, check below. If it’s unclear, send me an email.

Also, here is an update-
Courses in need of tutors: BSAD 173, SOC 119, EC 172, ITAL 001
If you can tutors any of these courses, let me know.

These steps must be completed and hours must be submitted by midnight on Sunday. Hours not submitted, or submitted but without appropriate documentation will NOT BE APPROVED.

  • Co-op tutors: Make sure to update all attended TutorTrac reservations status to “Attended”. Submit hours to PeopleSoft.
  • Campus-wide tutors: Create a “Quick Visit” for each session, complete with some notes about that session. Two to four sentences is optimal. Submit hours to PeopleSoft.
  • SI Leaders: Each session needs an attendance sign-in sheet. You need one ‘Work Summary Report’ per pay period. Submit hours to PeopleSoft.

These steps must be completed and hours must be submitted by midnight on Sunday. Hours not submitted, or submitted but without appropriate documentation will NOT BE APPROVED.

Thanks,
Keith
