This allows for a variety of vegetation to be grow in the area. The forest area was dominated mostly by deciduous trees, but there were also some coniferous ones to be observed. The most common trees I noted were Yellow Birch, Red Maple, Eastern White Pine, and some Red Oaks and Ash. They grow fairly tall and make it somewhat difficult to see into the swamp. I also noticed that there are lots of saplings, especially Red Maple saplings. Lastly, the characteristic that stood out to me the most on my first visit here was the amount wildflowers that were around.
