{"id":64,"date":"2023-11-02T14:55:36","date_gmt":"2023-11-02T18:55:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/spendykephenology\/?p=64"},"modified":"2023-11-02T15:11:29","modified_gmt":"2023-11-02T19:11:29","slug":"wildlife","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/spendykephenology\/2023\/11\/02\/wildlife\/","title":{"rendered":"Wildlife"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Some of the birds that I was able to observe today include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Blue Jay<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Downy Woodpecker<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carolina Wren <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tufted Titmouse <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Red-breasted Nuthatch<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>American Goldfinch<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Black-capped Chickadee <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of these were identified by their calls and I managed to get the call of the Carolina Wren as an audio recording. You can listen to it below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"http:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/spendykephenology\/files\/2023\/11\/carolina-wren.m4a\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I also observed a bunch of areas in the ground that looked like circles in the fallen needles.
