They have many different recreation options for those with varying levels of outdoor experience. We chose to hike the Monroe Trail to the summit. It was a beautiful day weatherwise, this was evident by the amount of others we saw along the way. They were small prints that trailed far into the woods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-We did see a few larger prints that I wasn&#8217;t able to get good pictures of, but they looked to be some sort of large rabbit\/hare. <\/p>\n<\/div><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/sjacob15\/files\/2025\/01\/IMG_2943-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-89 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/sjacob15\/files\/2025\/01\/IMG_2943-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/sjacob15\/files\/2025\/01\/IMG_2943-225x300.jpeg 225w, https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/sjacob15\/files\/2025\/01\/IMG_2943-1152x1536.jpeg 1152w, https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/sjacob15\/files\/2025\/01\/IMG_2943.jpeg 1500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">This place is busy with skiing and snowshoeing so wildlife wasn&#8217;t heavily prevalent. I did take some pictures of cool tracks I saw along the way. The visible tracks consisted mostly of small rodents and birds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-yellow-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-yellow-background-color has-background is-style-wide\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Getting There!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">The state park is located in Duxbury, Vt. It&#8217;s about a 45-minute drive from campus which doesn&#8217;t make it easily accessible unless you have a car.
