After a short week of Vermont’s finest frigid weather, the spot behind Trinity looks a little dull and lifeless. After trekking the steep drop to the stream, I took in the moment. The wind seemed to be suggesting something bigger – a sort of preparation for the long winter months to come. Despite shriveling and brown plants/ground-cover, the trees above the meadow seem to as vibrant as ever. Last posting, I mentioned how the ground was covered entirely with leaves, however due to heavy storms the past few days, it is now just mud and matted leaves on the ground.
