\"\"In the wake of\u00a0the\u00a0kerfluffle<\/a>\u00a0over the United States\u2019 exit from the Paris Climate Agreement, we at The\u00a0Sustainable\u00a0Innovation MBA believe, among others, two very important things.<\/p>\n

First,\u00a0ain\u2019t no stoppin\u2019 us now<\/strong>. Climate change and sustainability, and resource sustainability, represent the most significant economic and business development opportunities in a generation. The business and economic case for\u00a0these opportunities \u2014 to say nothing of the environmental case \u2014 is powerful and, arguably, irreversible.\u00a0According to the New York Times<\/a>, these opportunities represent a $6 trillion market by 2030. The shift is happening, and the U.S.\u00a0withdrawal from the Paris Agreement \u2014 while discouraging \u2014 will do little, if anything, to derail\u00a0the immense problem solving opportunities, and rewards, around climate change.<\/p>\n

Everyday, someone is breaking new ground in the production, conservation, or distribution of clean renewable energy. Everyday, someone is reinventing how we move around \u2014 how we transport ourselves and the things in our lives in revolutionary ways that save energy, space, and time. Everyday, someone is innovating and inventing new technologies that change the way we build, rebuild, heat, cool, and live in our homes and businesses while consuming as little as the earth\u2019s resources as necessary.<\/p>\n

In short, with or without the Paris Agreement capitalism, disrupted and reinvented, is a force \u2014 along with many others \u2014 to solve one of the world\u2019s most pressing problems.<\/p>\n

Second,\u00a0The\u00a0Sustainable\u00a0Innovation MBA is part of the solution.<\/strong>\u00a0More important than ever post-Paris, we must develop a new generation of business leaders who will build, innovate, disrupt, and reinvent climate change-focused enterprises in a world that demands it.\u00a0<\/strong>In other words,\u00a0UVM\u2019s Sustainable\u00a0Innovation MBA<\/a>\u00a0is more important than ever and its graduates increasingly more vital to sustainable businesses.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>While\u00a0traditional MBA education<\/a>\u00a0simply turns out people educated in business models, approaches, and ethics that are more a part of the problem than the solution, our mission is to prepare leaders to transform today\u2019s businesses and invent tomorrow\u2019s ventures through a lens of sustainability.<\/p>\n

We believe our students and alumni are uniquely prepared to be change agents and to lead within enterprises \u2014 or start new ones \u2014 that\u00a0are solving the world\u2019s most pressing problems \u2014 including climate change, and with or without a Paris Climate Agreement.<\/p>\n

And, in this new reality, we believe our students will be in greater demand by businesses, enterprises, and organizations than ever before.<\/p>\n
