Introduction

For my Phenology spot I decided to pick Centennial Woods. I picked a location in the woods right beside the Centennial Brook. Centennial Woods is a very short walk from the UVM campus. If you simply walk down the hill behind the Harris Millis residence halls you will be led to Centennial Woods, which is adjacent to Catamount Drive.

I decided to pick Centennial Woods as my phenology spot because it is a beautiful natural area that is so close to campus. The woods is home to many different tree and animal species. Some tree species that you might find in the forest include Eastern White Pine, Red Oak, Buckthorn, Red Maple, and many more. The vegetation in Centennial Woods is thick with many of these trees.
