I enjoy sitting by the water and listening to the babble of the brook. I watch twigs and leaves travel through the water, over rocks, and around the bends. The trees and plants along the edge of the creek filter the water as it runs past. When I visit my phenology site I sit next to the water with my eyes close and listen to the movement of the water over the rocks and leaves, and I listen to the birds singing and jumping through the trees.
