Last year, I had a handful of options to choose where to work and station myself. I made up my mind when I interacted with my (now) colleagues at UVM, followed by a walk on the Church St and the lake front. In my limited research about the history of UVM, the Motto: “Studiis et Rebus Honestis” — “For studies and other honest pursuits” is what appealed to me the most! It then became my motto!
Called UVM for Universitas Viridis Montis, Latin for “University of the Green Mountains”, I can now call it my dream workplace and Vermont my home. Although my first semester was a bumpy ride, adjusting to the new work environment, I am now in much better shape! I am hoping to contribute, teach and learn at UVM.
