{"id":92,"date":"2011-05-11T14:48:52","date_gmt":"2011-05-11T18:48:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/rbombard-bomber\/2011\/05\/11\/zoom-tablet-and-syncml\/"},"modified":"2011-05-13T14:56:37","modified_gmt":"2011-05-13T18:56:37","slug":"zoom-tablet-and-syncml","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/rbombard-bomber\/2011\/05\/11\/zoom-tablet-and-syncml\/","title":{"rendered":"ZOOM TABLET AND SYNCML"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>First off let me tell you that configuring syncML on android devices is a \u201cPAIN\u201d and that I strongly recommend using the UVM calendar web page at \u201ccalendar.uvm.edu\u201d with your browser instead.<\/p>\n<p>Having said this if you want to use syncML from synthesis you can and here is a rough road map.<\/p>\n<p>You can purchase the software at the link below, the \u201cpro\u201d version will sync automatically and the \u201cstandard\u201d version requires that you hit the \u201csync\u201d button in the application to make the synchronization happen.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.synthesis.ch\/\">http:\/\/www.synthesis.ch\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>in the section on the left of the page you will find a \u201cdownload\u201d link, go to client downloads and locate the one for Android, click in there. I suggest the \u201cpro\u201d client.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/rbombard-bomber\/files\/2011\/05\/clip_image0021.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0px;padding-left: 0px;padding-right: 0px;padding-top: 0px;border: 0px\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/rbombard-bomber\/files\/2011\/05\/clip_image002_thumb1.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"clip_image002\" width=\"244\" height=\"139\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Skip the section that asks for your name address etc, and go to the bottom of the page, check, the \u201cI have read\u2026\u201d and hit the \u201cdownload now\u201d link. Once the application has downloaded, you will see an indication in the lower right of your screen.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/rbombard-bomber\/files\/2011\/05\/clip_image0041.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0px;padding-left: 0px;padding-right: 0px;padding-top: 0px;border: 0px\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/rbombard-bomber\/files\/2011\/05\/clip_image004_thumb1.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"clip_image004\" width=\"244\" height=\"92\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tap on this and as to open it and the tablet will complain that the application comes from an unknown source. You will need to follow the link to authorize \u201cUnknown Sources\u201d. Next, scroll down just a bit (by swiping upwards) and tap the <em>User<\/em> field under the <em>Server Login<\/em> heading.\u00a0 Enter your UVM NetID here.
