5 November 2023 – Visit 2

When I arrived at my phenology location for my second visit, I was interested to see what could have changed during the three weeks of my absence. After sitting down to draw my map, I took in the beauty of my area and began to draw. Starting my drawing, I begin to notice the changes of the landscape since the last time I’ve been here. The first thing I noticed was how the water level had gotten significantly higher and most of the algae from my last visit was gone. The soil was a lot less compact when I was here last, a result of the decreasing temperatures. The location’s trees were lacking most of their leaves which they will continue to lose throughout the fall and coming winter.
