This includes a <a href=\"https:\/\/berkleycenter.georgetown.edu\/posts\/the-geopolitics-of-faith-religious-soft-power-in-russian-and-u-s-foreign-policy\">report<\/a> on religion and the foreign policies of America and Russia for a joint Brookings Institute\/Berkley Center project, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.americanprogress.org\/issues\/security\/reports\/2018\/04\/17\/449687\/economic-integration-political-reconciliation-iraq\/\">policy analysis<\/a> on religious minorities in Iraq for the Center for American Progress, a research <a href=\"https:\/\/berkleycenter.georgetown.edu\/news\/religious-freedom-and-violent-extremism-a-sourcebook-of-modern-cases-and-analysis\">report <\/a>on religious freedom and violent extremism with Georgetown University&#8217;s Berkley Center, a&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.start.umd.edu\/sites\/default\/files\/files\/publications\/SMAWhitePaper_PerspectivesonTerrorismandResponsestoIt_Sept2013.pdf#page=108\">white paper<\/a> I wrote with several colleagues at START on qualitative methods and terrorism studies, and a shorter <a href=\"http:\/\/www.start.umd.edu\/news\/discussion-point-embrace-big-data-dont-ignore-human-element-data-coding\">piece <\/a>(also with START colleagues) on the promise of &#8220;big data&#8221; for terrorism research.
