The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced that organic producers and handlers can\u00a0now\u00a0apply for funds to assist with the cost of receiving\u00a0or\u00a0maintaining organic certification.\u00a0Applications for\u00a0the\u202fOrganic Certification Cost Share Program\u202f(OCCSP)\u00a0are due Nov. 1, 2021.\u00a0\u00a0 OCCSP provides cost-share assistance to producers and handlers of agricultural products for the costs of obtaining or maintaining organic certification under the USDA\u2019s National Organic Program.
