  3. This is really interesting. Barred owls are such a special animal to see in the wild. It does make sense that sound pollution would have an affect on their habitat. In the months where leaves are on the trees at my home, I tend to see owls more often than I do in the winter. Maybe this has to do with the leaves providing some sound barrier from 495 across the river.
    I also appreciates how you looked into some of the history of Barred owls. Ecology has so much to do with land history, and it’s great to honor that.
