Over the course of several months I nurtured a little seed into a stick with two beans on it. Are you ready? It is indeed a pot of soil. It also has a bean seed in it. This is Day 0 of the bean plant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-primary-skyblue-darker-20-background-color has-background\">Feeling: encapsulating sense of dread. I cannot grow plants, despite my environmental major. Mother Nature grows plants, not Mother Naomi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-midblue-background-color has-background\">Let&#8217;s talk about what the seed is currently doing under the surface..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-primary-skyblue-background-color has-background has-large-font-size\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">What&#8217;s under the surface? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Step 1: <\/strong> Rehydration of the bean. The seed swells and &#8216;kick-starts&#8217; the beginning of seed emergence.
