We started walking around 4 pm and the views were amazing. You can tell it&#8217;s a grey Squirrel and not a Red Squirrel because of the size of the stride and just context clues about the surrounding area. We were in an area that was mainly all deciduous trees and Red Squirrels like coniferous forests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/mshea12-\/files\/2024\/02\/image_67164673-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-56 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/mshea12-\/files\/2024\/02\/image_67164673-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/mshea12-\/files\/2024\/02\/image_67164673-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/mshea12-\/files\/2024\/02\/image_67164673-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/mshea12-\/files\/2024\/02\/image_67164673-1536x2048.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/mshea12-\/files\/2024\/02\/image_67164673-624x832.jpg 624w, https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/mshea12-\/files\/2024\/02\/image_67164673-scaled.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>These tracks were harder to identify for me. but I think they are red fox as you can see the x pattern in the pad of the track.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/mshea12-\/files\/2024\/02\/image_67177473-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-57 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/mshea12-\/files\/2024\/02\/image_67177473-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/mshea12-\/files\/2024\/02\/image_67177473-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/mshea12-\/files\/2024\/02\/image_67177473-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/mshea12-\/files\/2024\/02\/image_67177473-1536x2048.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/mshea12-\/files\/2024\/02\/image_67177473-624x832.jpg 624w, https:\/\/blog.uvm.edu\/mshea12-\/files\/2024\/02\/image_67177473-scaled.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>The tracks were also very difficult to Identify but I was thinking maybe a raccoon. They are about the right size and shape but I couldn&#8217;t count the toes so Im unsure.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall this experience tracking and using I-naturalist was very fun and engaging. It&#8217;s been cool looking at the I-naturalist group and viewing where people had gone and what kind of tracks they were able to observe. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week me and my friend Jc went behind trinity campus to the salmon hole on the Winooski River.
