
As you can see from the photo above my phenology spot was covered in a sheet of ice. This mad it difficult to find any tracks that weren’t made by humans. I did however go down to the left from where the photo above was taken and did find small paw prints which I believe belong to a fox.

These are the tacks that I believe to be a fox. Compared to the size of my hat these tracks are quite small. The tracks are also headed down the hill towards the fallen down tree. Another big difference of my site since the last time I was there was there was a lot of fallen branches scattered on the snow. This could have been caused by storms and strong winds we have been having.

This branch come from one of the Eastern White Pines that are in the area. This branch fell off the tree while still alive.
