I will be exploring how the area will change (or not change) over the course of NR 1. The Redstone Pines are located in between the Redstone campus and the Athletic campus at UVM. For me, all I have to do to get there is walk out of Harris and pass the Interfaith Center and I’m practically there. I chose this spot because I have already spent a lot of time sitting there in a hammock and doing work. I really enjoy being there and would love to get to know the area better. I also chose it because of the convenience because I lack a mode of transportation besides walking. In the Redstone Pines, there are of course a lot of Northern White Pines. Along with this there are various other species such as cedars and a few invasive species along the edges.

The photo attached to this post was taken at the pines just before fall. I chose this photo so that you can see how much has changed starting in the summer.

Hello! this is a blog about the Phenology of the Redstone Pines.
