This is a map of my site that I drew. There is the stream running through the middle of the site. The banks and other features are also shown. The features are labeled 1 through 5, they are as follows. 1- The river, 2- the island in the river, 3- the Norway maple, 4- the dead snag, 5- the stand of buckthorn.

Since my last visit I have noticed some changes. The last time I was at the site it was still just the beginning of fall so there are significantly less leaves on the Norway maple and the buckthorn now. The other vegetation that is scattered around the site is starting to die.

The site is very close to a walking path so there is not a lot of animal activity, but I have noticed some. There are a couple half eaten pine cones on the ground here and there. I have also noticed some kind of tracks in the mud along the stream bank. I thought maybe they were raccoons.
