Welcome to my phenology blog! (first blog post kinda nervous 😳). First things first, I want to discuss why I chose this spot. I chose this location due to its close proximity to campus, and also the fact that it is not Centennial Woods. Although Centennial Woods is beautiful, I wanted to choose a spot more unknown and probably less trafficked by NR1 students so my blog wouldn’t be repetitive of my peers’s. I also think the geographic location itself is cool, due to it being nestled between residential neighborhoods and highways (it really is an urban wild!). Its shape is also unique as it follows the path of the the Englesby Brook which runs through the center. I also have to admit, one of the deciding factors in choosing this spot was the fun name. In all, I’m super excited to study this spot and I hope you enjoy my chronicles of Crescent Woods :).
