Final Phenology Post

From seeing salmon hole in the fall to now spring is a really interesting sight! There is new life in all the plants and animals. I’ve come familiar with the swimming hole as it was so pretty with the still water and the cliff behind it.

Fall vs Spring:

Culture and nature intertwine in many ways. When we visited on Saturday, it was just before sunset and there were 2 groups of fishers and 2 other groups just enjoying the outdoors with their dogs. Salmon Hole created a space to enjoy nature and do things like swim, fish, etc. (not swimming now, the water was freezing!!) Even my friend and I visiting salmon hole, taking pictures, walking around, dipping our toes into the water is culture intertwining with nature.

I do consider myself a part of salmon hole as I have seen it die and rebirth once more, though I’ve only seen it throughout one year, it is a continuous pattern that I am lucky to have seen the full process of. I’ve become familiar with the plants and animals that live there while also interacting with the people carrying out numerous activities there.
