The right image is white oak. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sugar Maple and White Oak<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sugar Maple Twig:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>twig is brown and slender with sharp, pointed, brown buds<\/li><li>opposite, simple leaf (Sugar Maple, 2019)<\/li><li>you can see in the images above that the two on the left are brown twigs with sharp and pointed brown buds<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>White Oak Twig:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>twig is red-brown\/gray with multiple terminal buds <\/li><li>alternate, simple leaf (White Oak, 2019)<\/li><li>you can see in the images above that the one on the right has a red-brown twig with multiple terminal buds<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Phenological Changes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">There\u2019s not much difference in the area from the last time I visited. Perhaps the most noticeable is the path is completely covered in ice.
